Ideal Backyard Context:

This shape is perfect when you want to blend pool and landscaping in a more organic way when the yard is less about rigid symmetry and more about embracing curves, plants, and outdoor living features.

• Ideal if your lot is not a perfect rectangle, perhaps has a corner cut‑off or a fence line that’s angled.

• Works when you want the pool to feel integrated into the garden, maybe with a waterfall or fountain along one side, and swimming plus lounging zones.

• Also good if you want to wrap seating or planters around the pool in a softer way.

How a Pro-Builder Tailors It:

• Grading: With the kidney shape, part of the pool may be closer to existing grade level while another side may require more excavation or retaining wall support. Meramec will adjust the shell orientation to minimize fill or cut, optimizing cost and aesthetics.
